Long regarded as one of the World's most influential Metal players, Poland is also an accomplished solo artist, who released his critically-acclaimed major label solo debut 'Return to Metalopolis' upon his departure from Megadeth (being reissued in January on David Ellefson's COMBAT RECORDS).
In addition to his genre-defying bands Damn The Machine (A&M Records) and OHM, the latter of which would also feature late Megadeth drummer Nick Menza, Poland has made guest appearances on seminal releases from Lamb of God, Queensryche, and Tourniquet, as well as returning to the Megadeth fold for 2004's 'The System Has Failed'.
Poland will also be performing Megadeth classics live at the Gala with special guests Thöm Häzäert, vocalist for Megadeth bassist David Ellefson's eponyous solo project, who performed vocals and co-produced Ellefson's recently released debut release 'Sleeping Giants', (including the hit Metal radio track "Hammer (Comes Down)", which also features a guest appearance from Poland, along with Mark Tremonti), and guitarist Dave Sharpe and drummer Opus Lawrence of Dead By Wednesday, who also recently toured with, and performed on the Megacruise, as part of Ellefson's "Sleeping Giants" backing band, and appear on the 'Sleeping Giants' track "Vultures".
Motive was formed in June of 1999. Guitarist Steven Buschart has kept the band alive through thick and thin, and with this new line-up, they are delivering songs full of modern tones and crushing riffs. Mike Niggl has taken over the lead vocals from Steve, and his performance is pro, strong, and heavy. Wyatt Henderson is on drums and has brought some youth and fresh blood to the band. With Mathias Mattimias (Black Phantom/Scattered Guts) hired to play bass for the tour, Motives’ rhythm section will pound and slam with a precise attack.

Phoenix Thrashers MOTIVE To Release “Fight The World” On Vinyl + USA Tour Dates
Phoenix, AZ’s MOTIVE will be unleashing their latest album, “Fight The World”, on vinyl, July 12, 2019, via Metal Devastation Records. Released digitally and on CD December 1, 2018, the album is fast, aggressive, and a chunky blend of thrash that has been well met by legions of metalheads around the world. Featuring a solid collection of 10 tracks, the album’s goal is to make you thrash, mosh and for the tunes to be stuck in your head with no escape.
The band adds:
“Fight The World” is loaded with riffs, hooks, guitar solos, heavy ass bass, tight acoustic drums, and some strong vocals. We hope fans can’t turn it off, and we hope the energy of the songs is addictive!”
Loaded with modern tones, MOTIVE takes the thrash and groove base, and blends a touch of death metal and heavy rock elements into the fray. This can be experienced with their latest lyric video for the track “Thrash Priest”, that was released last year. MOTIVE details the track:
“Thrashing riffs, double bass kicks, slammin’ groove, then some thrashy punk rock, and a rippin’ solo. It’s a great opening track, with a strong chorus. The premise is enough of the Catholic Church with their lies and cover-ups. The ‘Thrash Priest’ is better for you and your family any day.”

Not stopping with the momentum, MOTIVE starts their “Summer Fight” Tour on June 1, 2019 and will play 16 dates across the Southwest and Midwest. It’s a must see for everyone who enjoys moshing and thrashing, especially those who are fans of Carcass, Pantera, Metallica, Lamb of God, and Slayer.
